Schenectady Civic Playhouse is a Not-For-Profit Organization and all gifts and donations are tax deductible.

So you can take a tax deduction by making a patron gift toward our long-term needs. General Electric even matches 100% of these gifts by its employees, retirees and spouses.

We’re currently in the middle of raising money for a major expansion. Amongst other venue improvements, this expansion will add a much needed elevator. Help us reach our goal by donating to this campaign.

We also offer the opportunity to Purchase a Seat in our theater in your own name or in memory of another.

By purchasing a seat you’ll always have a special place in the playhouse. You will recieve an engraved brass plaque on one of our theater seats with up to 2 lines and 25 characters.
